Greetings from the RAULI brackets project team. Our student project group comprised of eight students from Finland, The Netherlands, Germany, and France have been hard at work for the past few months conducting market research for RAULI solar panel brackets in international markets.
RAULI is a solar panel mounting system that is manufactured in Finland with high quality steel. RAULI brackets are designed to withstand the harshest of weather conditions while being easy to install and to transport.
The objective of our project group was to research the solar panel markets in Canada, Germany, and Australia. We began our research by first charting out the size of these solar panel markets. Then we looked further into the requirements for entry for each of the markets. Finally, we looked at the general costs of solar panels in each of the markets and compared these prices to prices in Finland to gain an understanding of what customers in each of the markets are looking for when installing solar panels.
All in all, this kind of research is very interesting from the perspective of a student. Based on our research we came to certain conclusions about each of the different markets. Out of all the markets, Canada resembled Finland the most not just in terms of climate, but also in terms of the solar power sector size compared to the population and the price per watt for installing panels. Germany, on the other hand, was the most competitive of our three selected markets. In the German market there is a wide selection of solar panel products available that are all competing with one another. Australia had the biggest volume out of all the markets. As a country, Australia has a great climate for panels and the government offers a variety of rebates for those installing them. Making it the market with the most volume out of the three.
This was a fantastic project from a student’s point of view. We got to learn lots of new things about market research and solar panels which for most of us was completely new. On behalf of RAULI brackets project team I wish everyone a fantastic summer and good vibes all around.
