During these 10 weeks we wrote each week in our “Under the stars” blog with posts related to homelessness.
It was a new experience to write in a blog, learning how it works and mostly, the meaning of a blog. Build consciousness of what is going on in our society is essential in our profession. It is important to be aware of issues like homelessness, the reasons behind and what consequences it has for the individual and to the society. By participating in Asunnottomien yö, which we wrote a lot about, it was great to see how much good work is also done for reducing homelessness in Finland. As future Social workers we believe that is important to always be active and share awareness on the problems that arise in our communities.
It was great to read everyone´s blogs with such different and interesting themes and shared opinions. We also feel that it was a really nice way to learn new things and get to know more about many important topics.
We hope that you enjoyed reading our blog as much as we did writing it, and most of all, that you learned a bit more about the Homeless people and their struggles. We also encourage everyone to take part in Asunnottomien yö in the future. It is a great event and has an important message!

I really liked how you guys shed information about the issues linked to homelessness. The number of homeless people is decreasing, but there is still work to be done. I enjoyed reading the blog, and I hope you keep up the good work! 🙂
