MyHomesID’s Internationalization and Market Research 

In the spring of 2025, an international project was launched with a project team consisting of business students from Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and one exchange student. The main goal of the project was to help MyHomesID expand into international markets. MyHomesID is a Finnish service developer that provides consumers and professionals with a data platform for storing, managing, and sharing important information to make everyday life easier. The project’s main contact person is Jari Ahde, Product Manager. The company is seeking effective ways to present its services globally by using personalized marketing strategies tailored to each country. 

Market Research Goals 

The aim of the project is to conduct market research that provides a clear and concise overview of the market situation in selected countries. Another goal is to collaborate with exchange students to ensure the translation of MyHomesID’s marketing materials. 

Translation Work for Marketing Materials 

The project team received videos from the company, which had AI-generated translations already added. By working with exchange students, valuable insights were gathered from different languages, ensuring that the materials were both linguistically accurate and culturally appropriate. The exchange students’ task was to review and correct the video translations. The process was carefully planned, and the team began by creating a survey in Microsoft Forms for the exchange students to gather their opinions on the videos and translations. 

Project Experiences 

The project has progressed according to schedule, supporting MyHomesID’s expansion while also providing the team with valuable hands-on experience in international business and marketing. 

Silja Saranen, the project team’s communication manager, shared her enthusiasm: “It has been exciting to participate in an international project. The team is excellent, and the work is progressing well.” 

Project manager Emilia Klementti added: “Working on this project has been highly engaging, especially the interaction with exchange students, which has been incredibly rewarding. I appreciate the opportunity to work on international projects, as they offer valuable insights into different cultures and foster meaningful connections with new people.”  

Final Goals and Future 

At the end of the project, MyHomesID will be provided with a well-researched strategy for expanding into international markets. Through thorough research, culturally adapted marketing materials, and AI-driven translation improvements, the company’s messages will be ensured to resonate effectively with local audiences.
