Laurea P2P – how to make it a product?

At the start of our project we were a little confused. What should we do? The task was to brand Laurea Hyvinkää’s project learning model, P2P, into sellable product. Our team confirmed a fact, that name “P2P” doesn’t really tell anyone, what it basically is about. Many of students who had applied to P2P didn’t know what it was until they did their first projects. It was hard to describe it for companies, too.

The finalization of the marketing plan

In this project, we have been doing research for the purpose of a social media marketing campaign plan for Bonne Juomat Oy, in order to make them more known in German markets. Bonne is a Finnish Lohja-based maker of tasty and healthy natural beverages made from fruits, berries as well as vegetables. The project is international, and the project team consists of three exchange students and five Finnish students. During the project, we have been working remotely through Teams, which means all of us have not met together even once. Naturally working remotely has its own advantages and disadvantages, but I feel like we managed quite well.

The importance of good communication in project work

In the autumn of 2021, we started our project Sustainable Tourism together with Finns and exchange students.  Our team consisted of eight students, an instructor and a client. The roles of the team were divided in a familiar way. Roles include project manager, deputy project manager, secretary, communications manager and welfare manager. At the beginning of the project, we also decided what communication channels, we are going to use in this project for example, official matters are sent by e-mail, daily matters are agreed with the group chat on WhatsApp. We also agreed that much of the communication will take place on the Teams channel.

Mission accomplished – Intercultural work check

“I found the work very inspiring and exciting since I haven’t travelled a lot, so I don’t know that many people outside Finland.” – Suvi Sutinen as a quote in the end of the project

The semester is coming to an end, and everyone is starting to evaluate their work. That is exactly what this blogpost will do for the intercultural project between exchange students from Germany and Spain, Chileans, and Finnish students. As explained before the intercultural working environment made this project very challenging but at the same time very interesting. The projects differ a lot and the working attitude around the globe demands tolerance and understanding. The students managed the challenges quite well and came to successful endings of each project. This blogpost will present some students from different cultures and tell how they experienced this project. It is about what the gained and what they think was most challenging.

The digital marketing campaign for a startup company-project progress

The goals of our project were to help a new startup company to improve their marketing and communications. In other words, make their company more visible and ready to work.

During this past semester, we have done lots of research. We started our project by doing market research for the customer for the chosen countries: Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany. And then we searched information about what are regulations for the chosen countries about the product and with using it. We also did competitor research and found out more about the target group and who the product and marketing are done for the first hand. We sought out potential customers and wrote down all the contact info etc. So that the customer can just contact them.
