Packforce’s Social Media Activation Project 

In the autumn of 2025, an international digital marketing project was launched with a team consisting of business students from Laurea University of Applied Sciences and exchange students from Ukraine, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Many members of the project team have already completed several projects at Laurea, while for some students this is their first project. 

The client of the project is Packforce, a company that sells packaging materials and supplies. Its Finnish branch is located in Hyrylä, with a new store to be opened in Tammisto, Vantaa, and they also operate an online store. The goal is to create a social media activation plan and increase the company’s visibility in Finnish social media channels. Although Packforce primarily serves B2B customers, the project also aims to attract more B2C customers. 

Social Media Marketing Goals or Digital marketing plan 

The project team plans and creates content for Packforce’s social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. During the project, we will conduct benchmarking of Packforce’s competitors’ social media activities, resulting in a benchmarking analysis. The team will also provide insights on the optimal posting times, target audiences, and the most effective types of content for each platform. 

The project team will create engaging social media content tailored to each channel’s target audience, while also taking into account current trends and popular sounds. The team will also film content at Packforce’s store showcasing the products. By aligning the content with what resonates on each platform, the team aims to increase Packforce’s visibility and audience engagement.

Project Experiences   

The project provides the team with valuable hands-on experience in international business, marketing, and social media management, while also enhancing their skills in teamwork, cross-cultural communication, and strategic planning. By working on real-life challenges for Packforce, students gain practical insights into audience engagement, content creation, and the dynamics of both B2B and B2C marketing. 

Sophie Corazza, an exchange student who is working as the Project Manager, commented: “I’m really excited to be part of this project. At my home university we don’t have projects like this, so it’s a great opportunity for me. I especially like that we get to work with a real client and that our group brings together both exchange students and Finnish students.” 

Final goals 

As the project continues, our goal is to develop a clear and creative social media strategy that supports Packforce’s long-term engagement and brand visibility. By combining research, benchmarking analysis and creative content ideas, we aim to help Packforce strengthen its presence on different platforms and connect more effectively with its target audiences. So far, the project has been a great opportunity to explore how teamwork, creativity, and digital marketing can come together to boost a company’s online activity.
