Expanding MyHomesID: Insights from an International Team

Have you ever imagined a platform that makes managing your home super easy?  That’s exactly what MyHomesID, an innovative Finnish platform, does. It brings all your invoices, renovation files, and administrative documents together in one place. It’s dedicated to real estate management and facilitates the purchase, sale, and day-to-day management of a property. Moreover, this also offers adapted subscriptions for managing multiple properties (and even vehicles) and makes it easy to share documents with your partner, family, or professionals.

In the autumn of 2025, we had the opportunity to participate in a digital marketing project centered around this platform. There were nine of us, business management students from the Hyvinkää campus. Among us were three exchange students from Mexico, Uzbekistan, and France. Together, we collaborated with Jari Ahde, product manager of MyHomesID. Our mission was to compare the platform internationally, identify best practices, and propose ideas for its development. 

This experience was a mix of cross-cultural collaboration, strategic thinking, and immersion in digital real estate marketing, a rewarding adventure that we are happy to share.

Project objectives and progress

From the start, several objectives guided our work and shaped our missions. First, we tested the MyHomesID database through the app and website to provide initial feedback on its functionality and identify what worked well and what could be improved. Next, we analyzed and revised the company’s social media strategy, looking at content consistency and opportunities to strengthen its online presence.

Finally, we developed a plan to enter five international markets : France, the Netherlands, Spain, Uzbekistan, and Turkey. We focused on identifying local expectations, challenges, and opportunities to adapt the platform to different contexts. The final goal was to produce a comprehensive and concrete report to guide MyHomesID in its future developments : improving user experience, digital communication, and international expansion.

Results of our work through this collaboration

After two months of work, we presented our recommendations to Jari, who gave us very positive feedback. Testing the platform allowed us to suggest improvements to make it easier to use and more enjoyable. On the marketing side, we recommended strengthening the B2C strategy. We also suggested a more active and consistent presence on social media. Our international analysis revealed opportunities to adapt MyHomesID to different markets. Overall, the project gave us a clearer view of areas for development, including user experience, communication, and international expansion.

This international project let us work in a multicultural team, communicate clearly, and share ideas effectively. We gained solid technical and strategic skills, including social media analysis, international benchmarking, and strategy development. It was a great example of international collaboration and digital marketing, and an important step in our learning and in developing MyHomesID.
