Currently, we are at the midpoint of our spring semester group project· For the entirety of this semester, Laurea University of Applied Sciences is working with Primehotels, which operates three hotels in Finland. There are eight people in our project group, three of whom are exchange students from the Netherlands and the Czech Republic· Our main goal is to determine how Primehotels can attract more clients
Primehotels is a hotel chain with three branches, which are the Rantapuisto Hotel, the Spa Hotel Casino, and the Oscar Hotel· Hotel Rantapuisto located at scenic Helsinki, offering inspiration, relaxation, and cheerful service, for example, the Marimekko Nolla Cabin which is a unique nature tourism experience.· Spa hotel Casino offers relaxing stays and beautiful scenery of Saimaa, along with delicious dining and refreshing spa experiences to all its guests· It is an ideal destination to escape from everyday routine. Hotel Oscar in Varkaus is known for its warm, personalized, and heartfelt hospitality.
In the first month of the project, we set off by finalizing a project plan. We focused on benchmarking by comparing nine different hotels in Finland, one in the Netherlands, one in the Czech Republic, and one in Estonia.
From now on, we will focus on finding solutions to attract more clients· We will also analyse customer reviews and explore new activities that the hotel can offer· After conducting all the research, we will analyse the results and evaluate potential future outcomes, and we will develop a concrete plan. This project will allow you to have a unique experience during your studies because you will be working with a client from the hospitality and tourism sector. Moreover, you work with people from various countries, which helps you to learn about different cultures.
