Laurea Students recently had the opportunity to travel to Chile as part of a collaboration between Laurea University of Applied Sciences and the Universidad Del Desarrollo. For one week, we had the chance to explore the city of Santiago de Chile and Valparaiso, as well as learn more about the university and its facilities.
As part of the collaboration between the two universities, we were divided into two groups. One group worked on finding potential new customers and partners for the Finnish company Seppo.io, while the other group focused on expanding the marketing efforts of a Chilean company LAP Import into the American market. It was a great opportunity to apply our knowledge and skills in a real-world context, and we learned a lot from working with our Chilean friends.
During our stay, the Chilean students gave us a tour of their university and showed us around their campus. We were impressed by the modern facilities and the wide range of programs offered. We also had the opportunity to visit some of the local landmarks, such as the the Palacio de La Moneda. We even had lectures about the Chile’s markets and bussiness world.
One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to Valparaiso, a picturesque port city on the coast of Chile. We explored the colorful streets and admired the cool murals and street art that the city is famous for. We also had the chance to take a funicular ride up the steep hills to enjoy the beautiful views of the city and the sea.
Overall, the trip to Chile was great experience. We had the chance to explore a new culture, make new friends, and gain valuable insights into the business world. We are also excited to welcome the Chilean students to Finland in May and continue our collaboration with the University de Desarollo.
