Building Bridges Across Borders with MyHomesID!

We started our project on January 14th, and now our project MyHomesID has officially ended. The goal was to help MyHomesID go international. The first step was thorough market research on the housing and real estate situation. This research provided valuable information about different markets and housing preferences in Europe. Next, we needed the help of exchange students to translate keywords into their own language.

We started reaching out to exchange students and told them what we were doing and where we needed their help. To our delight, many exchange students were ready to participate and were happy to help with these MyHomesID translation tasks. The exchange students have brought with them local knowledge and cultural understanding, which has been invaluable in our internationalization process. Naturally, the exchange students also received a certificate for their participation, which can be useful for future career development.

This project demonstrated how collaboration and international networking can bring new perspectives and opportunities for a company’s growth. The contribution of exchange students was significant, helping us expand our operations and better understand different market needs and expectations. This project was a significant step towards the internationalization of MyHomesID, and we are proud of our accomplishments.

Thanks to the exchange students

The invaluable support and cooperation of exchange students from different countries was a big part of our project. The participating countries were Germany, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Netherlands, Slovakia, Austria and Switzerland. These students brought valuable expertise and resources, and we would like to especially thank them for their contribution and commitment.

We would like to especially thank one of our project communication managers from the Netherlands, who also played an important role in the market research phase, helping with translations. He also shared his experience of studying in this international project.

My experience as an exchange student in Finland

Hi! My name is Jeroen Jonkman, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Breda, the Netherlands. From January until the end of May, I had the amazing opportunity to study in Finland as an exchange student and what an unforgettable experience it has been!

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome. Finland is not only a beautiful country with forests, frozen lakes, and the magical northern lights, but also a place where I quickly felt at home. The Finnish culture might be a bit quieter and more reserved than what I’m used to, but that’s exactly what made it so interesting and cool to experience.

What truly made this period special were the people. I got to work with Finnish students as well as others from all over the world. Collaborating in such an international environment taught me so much not only about different cultures, but also about myself. Outside of studying, I explored the country, skated on natural lakes, discovered the sauna (a must in Finland!), and even went on a dog sleigh ride. These five months flew by, but the memories will stay with me forever. I look back on my time in Finland with great joy. It has truly found a special place in my heart, and I would recommend an exchange experience like this to anyone who gets the chance!
