During the past corona year, various video conferences, remote meetings and virtual meetings have become very familiar. How to make sure that the meeting tubes that last from month to month do not eat people’s endurance? In this blog we share our thoughts about virtual meetings.
Virtual meetings have been held for a long time, but now they are no longer exceptional, but the supposed form of a meeting. Whether the corona pandemic continues or not, I am sure that remote meetings will continue to be more than ever. So we are forced to learn to organize meetings in such a way that they can participate and achieve their goals.
In all encounter situations, it is important to remember we are other people involved. When the meeting is remote, this more humane side is easily forgotten and we see other participants are only seen as working beings. However, cooperation is more effective when, in addition to “performing the meeting tubes”, the social needs of the participants are also taken into account.
Reflecting our team’s reflections on what it’s like to do project work remotely, the discussions were amusing. Exchanged ideas, is the threshold higher to open a mic during a virtual meeting than to open one’s mouth in close-up situations? Many are afraid to talk past the matter and may sound confused. T
The excitement is greater and sometimes the thought breaks feel longer than it should. Many of us feel much relaxed and confident when we interact with one another.
The basic conversation before the meeting and feeling the vibe is a big part of the meeting as well. If I speak from my point of view, I would always choose the meeting to be held in person. More efficient, smoother and more relaxed. Here is a picture of the team together.
